A simple shape with a longer neck, this bud vase is meant to highlight a single spectacular blossom. It measures approximately 4” tall and 3-3.5” at its widest.

This vase is thrown on the potter’s wheel, trimmed smooth, bisque fired, glazed (the blue speckled glaze is a two-part process), and fired again until vitrified. I fire all of my vases at a higher temperature to keep water from seeping, but ALL ceramics will eventually seep. I recommend that you protect your fine/antique finishes with a discreet coaster, felt pads, or keep on a surface (bare wood, painted, stone) that won’t be affected by any residual moisture. I kept this test vase full for two weeks and had no damage, but your mileage may vary.
