This Modern Ironstone pedestaled tray is one of my favorite new forms. It starts as a slab-built shallow oval and marries a thrown and altered pedestal once it’s had time to firm up. I’ve used these in my own home as a now-integral part of my entertaining pantry- to hold/display fruit as a holiday centerpiece and to elevate a simple dessert like lemon squares on a tea table. Because of its construction, the clay moves a bit in firing, creating a sligtly wavy profile which I believe is part of its charm.

The large pedestal measures 16” x 7.5”wide. It is 3.25” tall and the tray itself is 1” deep. The small pedestal is 13” x 7.5” x 4.5”

While these pieces are entirely food safe I recommend hand washing with care.
